This site is dedicated to the use of Blue Tarp. The idea behind the naming of tarps came from my brother-in-law during a long car ride. It's similar in a way to playing the "punch buggy" game. While driving along the back roads of Maine we called out the names of tarps. Names such as "UnEmployed Tarp, Structural Tarp and Wood Tarp". Check out the current pictures and you'll understand. If you have a picture of a tarp and are not sure what to call it, send it to us @ bluetarps@gmail.com and we'll give it the appropriate name and post the picture in the archive.

Blue Tarp Mardi Gras Costume
Check out this home made craft. I'm pretty sure we won't be seeing Tyra modeling this anytime soon.
Camel Tarp
This tarp seems to be hiding a camel that is buried mid belly.

Structural Blue Tarp
Tarp serving as the roof for this old house. It reminds me of my dad saying "not while you're living under my tarp you won't!" Ah memories...

Tarp Saves Boy!
According to this BostonChannel news story a 4 year old boy wandered off from home and hid under a tarp for protection.
"He was hiding under there and he pulled a couple of tarps over him -- maybe from the noise of the dogs and everything. He was scared; he pulled the tarp over him..."
So what do you think we should call this Boy Saving Tarp? Send us your suggestions via the comments link.
